Meet our Founder and Lead Trainer, Jackson Greer

Meet our passionate trainer who has conquered every challenge baseball has thrown his way. From day one, he embraced the game's trials, turning doubt into determination, and tirelessly working to fulfill his dreams. Initially told he wasn't good enough, he transformed into a formidable player, earning a Division One offer and paving his way to greatness.

Starting off humbly, he hit a mere .125 during his freshman year at East Tennessee State University (ETSU), but instead of giving up, Jackson saw it as an opportunity to grow. With unwavering commitment, he evolved into a 1st Team All-SoCon backstop, earning a coveted spot on the Buster Posey award watch list—an honor reserved for the nation's top catchers. His dedication even took him to the prestigious Cape Cod All-Star Team.

Following a stellar college career with the ETSU Bucs, he achieved his ultimate dream—playing for his hometown team, the University of Tennessee Vols, and reaching the 2021 College World Series. His journey was a testament to the power of passion, discipline, and unwavering confidence.

Now, as a decorated player and experienced mentor, he's set his sights on giving back to the next generation of ballplayers. Sharing all he's learned throughout his baseball years, his mission is to make advancing in the game easier for young athletes in his community. Whether they dream of playing at the next level or even making it to the Major League, he knows the path and the hard work it takes to accelerate growth.

Jackson Greer founded JG Training Academy in 2022 to ignite passion, instill discipline, and embrace confidence - to inspire the next generation of baseball and softball players to thrive.
